The Chairman Dances
By Serenat Kivilcim
The Chairman Dances is an art rock-indie band hailing from Philadelphia. Since 2010, the quintet has released three albums: Long Lost / A History of Iniquity (2011), A Promise (2012), and Michael and the Prophetess (2013). These art loving artists perform in galleries, cafes and rock clubs throughout the northeast. Currently, The Chairman Dances is rehearsing material for a song-cycle, The Death of Samuel Miller, to be released this summer by the L.A.-based Grizzly Records. I like the little touch of 90’s grunge-rock and vibrant stories in their music.
If you are in the Philadelphia area, you should certainly go to their release shore on June 27 @ The Rotunda (4014 Walnut St.) 7:30
“Dance to the Neighbor’s Stereo” was directed by J. Randolph Brown.
