Thom Yorke – Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes
By Denise Beltran
Thom Yorke has self-released a new album titled “Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes” and all that can be said is that it sounds like nothing modern. Although the album was released in September via BitTorrent, on December 26 the album was released on Bandcamp with a new single “Youwouldn’tlikemewhenI’mangry”. “Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes” was received with positive reviews and Yorke has scored $20 million in profits from the album. The album itself is an electronic world of captivating sounds that construct a delicate atmosphere. Notable tracks are “Pink Section” and “Noise Grows Some”. “Noise Grows Some” has eerie sounds that resonate with the tempo of the drums that are in time with the beats of the listeners hearts. Majority of the album feels like a psychedelic trance where the listener is being transported to a different realm, which proves to show that Yorke can still impact his fans.
