Casey Potter Carlson, aka Quigley is a newcomer to the electro-pop scene. Hailing from Minneapolis, Quigley has been said to sound much like M83 and Prince with a hint of Kate Bush. Her new debut song “Post Post Apocalypse” is a suiting fit as a pick me up for the day, and which The Line of Best Fit stated “If there was ever a soundtrack for the End of the World parties in [Bret Easton Ellis] The Rules of Attraction, this is it”
The “Post Post Apocalypse” has a wonderful arrangement of loops and instrumentation that make the song resonate and have a powerful presence. Her lyrical ability is impressive and is a nice touch to the music, making the Apocalypse sound positive and fun!
Quigley has a beautiful voice that soars above the ambient electronica beat. She makes the Post Post Apocalypse very danceable and intriguing, hooking the listener into its realm.
Keep an eye out for Quigley’s new debut EP “Initium” coming out on May 8th.
