Mac DeMarco releases ‘The Way You’d Love Her’

Oh Mac DeMarco – you jangly, gangly bastard. Endlessly endearing Canadian (of course) musician Mac DeMarco has recently released a track off upcoming, eight-song ‘mini-LP’ Another One, out August 7 via Captured Tracks. Called ‘The Way You’d Love Her’ – it’s 2:36 minutes of pure, unadulterated DeMarco jizz-jazz. Slick sounding slide guitar, bright vacation vibes, a tumbling solo and those quintessential spectral vocals Mac is so adept at employing combine to create the ideal sun-soaked jam. It’s just the jaunty track one needs for summer – one that conjures sizzling seat belt buckles, freely perspiring and cold-to-warm beers. And at the end, if you listen close, you’ll catch a teeny ‘mhmm’ of appreciation from Mac – I can almost hear the overalls from here. As a side note, I love when Mac DeMarco sings love songs. I imagine he’s just this grimy, lovable goof that frustrates while simultaneously showcasing an organic ardor miles above any gift giving dude with a knack for choosing perfumes.

With near constant touring, prolific output and a slacker spirit that doesn’t translate to his work ethic or music turnout, Mac DeMarco is a dude who makes music worth spending time with.

You can pre-order Another One on Itunes, and check Mac out on tour now.
